I’m here today with a rather late wrap-up post for the month of March, we’re already halfway through April, for crying out loud! So hold on and I swear, unlike last month’s wrap up, this is gonna be short.
My smol twitter giveaway ended the first week of March and the winner was the lovely Shannel from Rambles of a Reader, whose blog recently turned one year! She’s currently holding a giveaway in honor of her anniversary so you go check out her blog!
Aside from that, pretty much nothing else significant happened to me last month. Just regular me trying to survive the everyday trials of life.

Here’s what I posted on the blog last month
📝 (January +) February 2018 || A lengthy life update and a number of realizations
📝 I’m officially on a book buying ban—for real!
📝 The Friday 56 + Book Beginnings: Esme’s Wish
📝 Book Review: The Gatekeeper’s Sons by Eva Pohler
No book haul for this month since I put myself on a book buying ban!
– Goal check! –
Nothing much happened relating to my blog goals but at least my reading goals are moving. Hahaha.
⭐ Read 36 books.
⭐ Read 10 books by Filipino authors.
⭐ Read 5 books that are 2018 releases.
⭐ Read 5 books from authors I’ve never read before.
– April plans –
In my last Month In the Life post, I said it would be month’s goal to visit and discover more blogs and reach out to other bloggers, but I wasn’t able to do so.
I was also supposed to join a readathon this month, to help me at least knock a few titles off my TBR but I failed in that department, too.
It seems I wasn’t able to achieve any of last months goal and I don’t even know why. I mean I’d like to think of an excuse but I can’t come up with anything. I guess March flew by so fast I did not notice April swoop in right in front of me.
As I said, we’re already halfway through April so it’s a bit late to make plans but I’m gonna make some anyway.
I am part of two blog tours this month, both organized by Shealea from That Bookshelf Bitch! The first one is the recently concluded #TheVotingGamePH blog tour. The Voting Game by Peter Gulgowski is about a dystopian future where your interactions with people will be rated, and you have to stay above the 2.50 rating to stay alive. It’s really scary, guys. You can read my review here, as well as the link to the other tour stops!
The second blog tour is for Secondhand Origin Stories by Lee Blauersouth. I’m currently reading the book and it is amazing guys you should give it a chance! In a recent tweet, she describes it as a book about “QUEER ANGSTY PSEUDO-SUPERHEROES JUST TRYING TO LIVE THEIR LIVES!” and if that doesn’t make you want to read it, I don’t know what will.
I was also inspired by Merv’s challenge to list all the books in my TBR, so I’m planning to put that page up later this month! It’s also a way for me to see how close (or far) I am to getting out of my self-imposed book buying ban!
Lastly, watch out for some tags and awards on the blog because I was tagged in a number of them recently!
I think that’s it for now. See you again in half a month for my next Month in the Life post!
